Kathy Balistreri
Kathy is a full-time year-round resident on the lake for the last 30 years. She has been a Realtor in North Carolina for 25 years and in Florida since she was 18. Kathy graduated from FSU with a degree in housing and interior design. She also studied marketing and real estate law.
Kathy had an interior design business in Boca Raton for 14 years and kept up her real estate business in Florida as well.
She has experience in all areas of real estate listing and selling and rentals. Her focus includes residential, vacant land, and commercial property. Her knowledge of the market and her keen eye for details and expertise in interior design is beneficial in the listing and buying process. She understands the market on the “plateau” of Western North Carolina and will be an asset every step of the way. Kathy has also built 3 custom homes for herself and understands the building process from start to finish.
When not working Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening and cruising the lake on her pontoon. She is involved in her church and several charities. Kathy puts her heart into her business. She is not only selling property- she is connecting people and helping them find their dream home on The “Plateau”.
Missy
In 2015, Missy moved to Lake Toxaway and began working at Balistreri Realty as Kathy’s assistant. Since moving here, she has obtained her Brokers license and is listing and selling real estate on “The Plateau”.
Prior to moving to WNC, she worked in a Rural Health Center for 4 years as a Patient Support Specialist. In the early 2000’s she was a residential appraiser and office assistant in the family firm in Florida and then for herself as an independent residential real estate appraiser.
Missy is actively involved in the daily operations of Balistreri Realty and furthering her career in real estate.
Michael Batchelder

Michael's connection to North Carolina spans decades and runs remarkably deep. His grandparents were among the first to build on Lake Toxaway's golf course in the 1960s, where he has spent many years golfing, skiing, hiking, and fishing. He attended Boarding School at Christ School in Arden. He later lived in both Beech Mountain and Hendersonville and ran a medical equipment company.
This wealth of experience provides him with unique insight into this areas most distinctive communities. Combined with his knowledge of South Florida's market, Michael offers clients dual-market expertise.
